London, UK. 22/09/2011. "The Tempest", by William Shakespeare, presented by Jericho House, has its UK premiere in St Giles Cripplegate, the parish church of the Barbican. Marking the 400th anniversary of the first performance of The Tempest, theatre company, Jericho House, revive Shakespeare's masterpiece in the atmospheric setting of St Giles Cripplegate. The Tempest was the first play in the English language to have music threaded throughout. this production is the first attempt since 1611 to restore and recall the sound world created by Shakespeare's collaborator, Robert Johnson, and reconnect it with the play.
