London, UK. 23.11.2021. “Rumi: The Musical” has its world premiere at the London Coliseum. Written by Dana Al Fardan and Nadim Naaman, based on a story by Evren Sharma, with Orchestrations and Arrangements by Joe Davison and Vocal Arrangements by Nikki Davison. The production is directed by Bronagh Lagan, with choreography by Anjali Mehra, set and costume design by Gregor Donnelly, lighting design by Nic Farman, video design by Matt Powell, sound design by Simon Hendry. The cast is: Nadim Naaman (Rumi), Ramin Karimloo (Shams), Casey Al Shaqsy (Kimya), Soophia Foroughi (Kara), Ahmed Hamad (Aladdin), Yazdan Qafouri (Sultan Valed), Johan Munir (Husam), Benjamin Armstrong (Sayyed), Roshani Abbey (Ensemble), Amira Al Shanti (ensemble), Eva-Theresa Chokarian (ensemble), Maëva Feitelson (ensemble), Sasha Ghoshal (ensemble), Blythe Jandoo (ensemble), Ediz Mahmut (ensemble), Zara Naeem (ensemble), Mark Samaras (ensemble), Aliza Vakil (ensemble).
