The London premiere of the Tony award-winning musical, “The Light in the Piazza”, based on a novel by Elizabeth Spencer, opens at the Royal Festival Hall for a limited run of 20 performances. Book by Craig Lucas, with Music and Lyrics by Adam Guettel. Directed by multiple Olivier Award-winner Daniel Evans, this production, with a full set and period costumes, is performed by Opera North’s 40-piece orchestra. The cast of stars from the West End, opera and television includes opera singer Renée Fleming, Disney’s Dove Cameron, Alex Jennings (Netflix’s The Crown), Rob Houchen (Les Misérables), Marie McLaughlin (Royal Opera House), Liam Tamne (Wicked) and Celinde Schoenmaker (The Phantom of the Opera).
