Lisbon, Portugal. 21.03.2015. A "Batucada" Tavern Crawl is held in the Mouraria district of Lisbon. People gather to make music in the streets, accompanied by percussion instruments such as drums, tambourines, etc. whilst revellers follow, dancing, singing, eating and drinking and others watch on from their balconies. "Batucada" is a Brazilian form of accompaniment to music such as Samba. It comes from the verb "Batucar" which means "to hammer". The event is part of a community effort to improve the local area by Mouradia – Casa Comunitária da Mouraria.
